These vignettes highlight the story of my life. This city is my city. Although I have travelled and lived throughout the world Kansas City is where I always return. This is an homage to the city that has been the setting and backdrop of my life. The architectural landscape has been graced by the talent and craftsmanship of my great grandfather Marco Pellegrino and my grandfather Donnell Giacalone. Their story is my story and has instilled in me a love of art, design, architecture and craftsmanship.

These four short films represent the distillation of only 350 photographs from more than 1,400 photographs that have been taken and archived according to location and/or subject. As the urban and suburban environments become transformed, there is a risk of losing any record of the legacy of Kansas City’s visual icons. This study archives some of Kansas City's architecture, neighborhoods, monuments, and signs through photographs. The photographs are choreographed to selections of music in order to invoke a feeling that draws the viewer into the experience of Kansas City.
